When they first released this keyboard along with the new imacs, I hesitated. I like typing fast and hearing the click-clack of keys. It seemed that these shallow keys wouldn't yield the same kind of satisfaction. But as I am a self-proclaimed packrat, I always have a lot of stuff lying around and my computer table is overcrowded as it is without a huge behemoth of a keyboard wasting space. The wireless version of this new flat keyboard is sans 10-key, which I thought would bother me-- but no, after the first day I didn't miss it at all. What I can't get over, however, is HOW slim, HOW compact, HOW brilliant this keyboard is. The shallow keys aren't as loud as the older keyboards, but there's still enough typing satisfaction. It looks fabulous, and it uses only 3AA batteries, as opposed to the 4 the older version requires. Get some rechargeable batteries and you'll probably only have to replace them every 6 months or so (depending on use, of course).

Once you actually see this keyboard in person, you'll admire its simplicity and perfection. Its razor thin and wireless. Simply Amazing

Same size as a Macbook Pro keyboard, so fully functional. Put it on your lap, or keep a clean, clutter-free desk. Use it from a distance (tried it at 8 meters).
Sweet!

Got mine a week ago. Very beautiful to look at and a pleasure to use. The keys feel great and the small size and no wires frees up much space on my desk.

I would have liked a number pad for Excel work, but otherwise the best keyboard I have ever owned. Not since the first iPhone appeared in the office has everyone found a new piece of hardware so appealing.

I am in Madrid, Spain. I am here shopping for my daughter and her family to furnish a house for them to live in for one year; beginning in June, 2008.

We were shopping today for all kinds of things.......and then the mattress thing. Your comments struck home.........it was a new zone. I suggested a "green" mattress..........all kinds of toxins are in a lot of mattresses....may I say.....Spain is not very "green"......So!

We also went to Ikea. The "green mattress" at one place was going to be $13,000.00. I am not kidding. They gave us a bochure that included a dvd...about this mattress. (no wonder it costs so much).......we looked at the Ikea catalogue; and we came up with the "Sultan Heidel" mattress..read your description! Thanks for saving us all that money! Tomorrow we go buy 5 of them; for the whole family!

You are very smart.......

Penny

ps I only got to the apple keyboard you just bought.......and are thrilled with........my "Air" laptop is waiting at home for me in Santa Barbara........did you get that , also?

I had to have it.

Thanks for your wisdom! I knew I could trust you!

The new super thiin Wired and Wireless Aluminum Keyboards. It make of anodized aluminum like the new iMac and have dedicated keys to adjust the monitor brightness, volume, drive eject, Expose and play/pause, with an incredibly thin design. (via likecool.com)
