Description

This is a beautiful toy. Its made by a small Waldorf based, Georgian cooperative, with wood and non-toxic water based paint. My son has the green drover, but it comes with a red drover also. Its easy to put together, so easy a 3 year old can do it!

It is pricey, but its simple, beautiful, and it has a poetry. Its indescribably....Russian. The horse and drover are sturdy. The cart could be broken, on the ends that attach to the horse by a very rambunctious child, but it might take more force to break it than I think. It hasn't happened to ours yet. I found the yellow string attached to the horse to be kind of scary for my one year old, and annoying, so I cut it off. No one has missed it.

Being Georgian, its not a member of the European union, therefore it can't get CE certification, but I contacted the owner of Quiet Hours Toys, and the Georgian cooperative. These poor guys and gals work all bundled up in the winter because they can barely get heat, yet they are committed to making beautiful toys. I feel that is worth supporting, and maybe it seems naive in a post Mattel recall world, but I trust them.
