i know. every freakin' one loves this movie, right? right. it's funny. it's entertaining. it's got a nice little "message."

what did it for me was hearing a student read from A Separate Peace at the end. that broke me.

oh yeah, and the fact that i don't really like merlot either.

This film made Pinot Noir's (and Paul Giamatti's) star rise -- and merlot's fall. A sweet film.

I've become more and more infatuated with wine over the years, this is the movie that comes closest to capturing that love affair.
