It seems so simple -- maybe even too simple -- but this is the "system" I use to turn the waste from my kitchen and city rooftop garden into rich, organic matter. If outdoor space is at a premium, you can fashion the same bin into a <a href="http://www.yougrowgirl.com/garden/vermicomposting.php">vermicomposter</a> and set it underneath your kitchen sink.
