Whether you prefer biographies, classics, investment guides, thrillers, or sci-fi, thousands of your favorite books are available. New York Times Best Sellers and most new releases are $9.99, and you'll find many books for less. Content availability and pricing vary for customers living outside of the U.S.

Who doesn't need something to do on plane rides to the opposite coast? This is small, easy to carry, and DEFINITELY lighter than lugging around "Good to Great".

The original e-reader can hold up to 1,500 books, magazines, and newspapers! Impressive for such a little device, convenient for travelers who love to read but cannot carry that many books.

Oh man this is a fabulous little device. It's easy to read, convenient, and efficient. The size makes it comfortable to hold and transport. I've found it especially useful on planes -- now I don't need to stuff books into my carry-on. The book selection at the moment is more than adequate. There are a few titles I have not been able to purchase on Kindle, but I understand this is a work in progress. Fortunately, it is impossible to repeat an all too familiar book experience: you enter a book store looking for a specific book, only to learn the book is totally out of stock. I've found this especially useful for quickly obtaining classic novels and works that have passed into the public domain. I got a copy of Aristotle's Ethics for free, and I know that there is a 400 story collection of Anton Chekov's works available for $2. I got a similar deal for the complete works of Jane Austen. For books still under copyright, prices tend to range from $10 - 20. Basically, a paperback library that will never fall apart and goes everywhere. I love technology!

The Kindle. Lots of talk about it. You either love it or hate it. It's been around long enough now most of the kinks are out. Even if you still love the feel of paper when you are reading ... this is great if you ride the subway to work, want something to read on your lunch hour ... or better yet, great for the beach! Two thumbs up on this baby!

I love my kindle- never leave home without it, practically. It makes reading so much more simple (and affordable), as a book lover it was always hard to take them with me without losing pages, reading on my side was always a problem (I don't like ruining the spine so I don't fold them all the way back), and my bookshelves are getting out of control! I love that kindle lets you loan/borrow books also... and you can find several hundred free books in their library. As a side note this is perfect for a breastfeeding mother who only has one hand to hold/flip a page!
