I'd love to use this timer/thermometer because you can put the probe in the meat, set a desired temperature you'd like it to reach, and the timer (which is outside the oven) will ding when it's reached that temperature. Genius! Suprisingly cheap considering what it does :) (via Amazon)

This is one of the best timer/thermometers I have ever owned. It is easy to read, has a long cable so I can cook a turkey with the oven door closed and have my thermometer on the counter top to check the temp. I use it to make candy, cook meats and more. I can't imagine cooking without my Polder and highly recommend this product to others.
