I guess it is kinda silly to recommend an IPOD at this point, but there really is a great story behind this beast of a product. Check out the latest WIRED mag for a really cool story (how they recruited the genius / maverick / every-day-guy engineer). Was it the November 2006 issue?

I just returned from a jog (in the rain) with my iPod Nano - I wish I had something smaller like the shuffle for running. This cute little thing would clip on my clothes nicely.

I had one of these though it was relatively short-lived. It was great while it lasted but it stopped communicating with my computer after a while when docked. Being that you can purchase these for around $50 per, it's a worthwhile investment as I know others that have had there's for long periods of time.

I gave this to my husband and he takes it to work, on the streetcar, compact and hold enough music for a trip on the plane too.
