A favorite way of drinking sake is from a small wooden cup called the masu. A masu holds 0.18 liter of sake. Drinking from a masu is simple. Just choose a corner and sip, holding one side with your right hand, thumb on the top and the other fingers on the bottom, and supporting the other side lightly with your left hand. Sake in masu is never warmed!
