Simple design brilliance. The four sides each have a different measure. And pouring from corners reduces spills. Plus it's simply cool and only costs $20.

According to the designer: "the design of the Aluminum Cube Jigger evolved from an experiment to compress the six most common liquid measures used to mix alcoholic drinks, into the smallest possible dispenser. the form was inspired by traditional box-shaped, Japanese sake cups, from which sake is sipped from the corners." Usually I just pour it by guesstimating and if I'm drunk I poured right, but you're all more sophisticated drinkers than I.

Here at the C&M HQ, we like a good cocktail and there is always a reason to mix something up. But when it comes to the measuring part, that's when we realize why some people are mix masters and we are only beginners, nothing more. But with Josh Owen's Jigger Cube, we can now slowly nudge our way into the realm of the mix masters, as there is no easier tool to create the perfect drink. It's a breeze to go through even the hardest of combinations for the most complex concotions, as every side holds a different amount needed for any recipe, just turn the cube and add the booze.

Intelligent design with a beautiful presence. If you want your drinks to taste right, you need to measure things precisely. JIggers are the traditional method, but most are terribly utilitarian in the looks department and, at best, have 2 measurements. The Cube Jigger take a hefty piece of aluminum and utilizes all six sides for measuring out the most commonly used volumes in bar recipes. It's much larger than you may think (It's the size of a large paperweight) so it has a wonderfully sleek but noticeable presence. There is ONE CON though. You're supposed to fill your booze all the way up to the top to get the labeled amount. Once it's full, pouring into a glass or shaker can be a little tricky if you don't have very steady hands - you may spill a few drops, or you may avoid filling to the tippy-top so you don't spill in the first place. If you can handle this or are just okay being off by a few mL's (which is probably fine for all but the most discerning tastes), then I highly recommend this strikingly innovative piece of barware.
