Upstairs/Downstairs baskets—nice, sturdy baskets to keep one at the top and one at the foot of the stairs. Everything that has to go upstairs gets put in the “upstairs basket,” and vice versa. Keeps things contained, and you just have one basket to haul up or down the stairs.
