CARE and CollectiveGood International are working together on a major mobile phone recycling initiative. Itâs designed to capture idle mobile phones in North America and redeploy them, solving an environmental problem.
CollectiveGood pays CARE for the remaining phones and readies them for sale in developing countries. Proceeds from the sale of these phones will be used by CARE to further their poverty-fighting work -- essentially converting idle mobile phones into food, clean water, medicine and education programs throughout the developing world.
