How to Travel Practically Anywhere: Susan Stellin

I'm halfway through this book and it's actually more useful than I expected. One line made me sad, though, "IF YOUR DAYS OFF aren't already set aside for your best friend's wedding in Denver, Christmas with your parents in Atlanta, or a family reunion in Montana, you have the luxury of planning an actual vacation - a rare opportunity when so much of our leisure travel involves visiting friends or relatives."

I just wish more of us could travel from time to time. It's not wonder people say Americans are self-absorbed - most of our bosses won't let us have the time to explore the rest of the world.
