Three AAA batteries included.

For music to work, simply slide switch to ON position and press front button. Music will play continuously with motion. For quiet play without music, slide the switch to the OFF position. For best music performance, make sure music device is placed horizontally in pocket.

This is adorable! My almost 4 year old (oct. 27) loves to dance, skip and play at home. I've never seen anything like this that plays music when it moves. Very cute and smart
