Good Magazine is good. The price you pay to subscribe ($20) goes to the organization of your choice. You make a contribution which is already great, but then you get the magazine too. Well-designed and interesting.

This magazine is really beautifully designed and the content is fantastic. It's a magazine 'for people who give a damn'. Subscribe and buy a subscription for all your friends! Their goal is to reach 50,000 subscribers > the best part is they are GIVING AWAY your subscription money in 2007 to the Organization of your choice (from a list of 12 provided). This will amount to $1Million given away in 2007. In case you're cynical here is the reason they're doing this:
a) meet a self-selecting group of quality subscribers who find us through word of mouth, internet links, media coverage, our partner organizations, or the other crazy schemes we like to come up with; b) raise significant money for organizations that will do something important with it; and c) save resources and prove that you can do well by doing good.

I'm already pretty good. I'd like to be better. Is there a magazine called Better? (the sequel).

Great new thought provoking magazine. Similar in quality to Wired, but with a socially conscious spin.

I hear about this magazine awhile ago online and immediately subscribed. I finally got my first issue a few weeks ago and it did not disappoint. The entire publication is really well-designed, environmentally responsible and includes a ton of interesting info. Plus, the fact that they donate your subscription purchase to a charity of your choice makes it an even better purchase.

They have a great visual style going - a little overdone on the info visualization - but great concepts - and throw interesting parties around the states. The stickers in the first issue are worth checking out ; ) (via notcot)
