FOR THE DO-GOODERS: 100% of your subscription cost goes to a non-profit, which you'll get you choose. One of many self-descriptives. This magazine is awesome. Powerful images and statements, created by volunteer contributors who were supposed to submit a total of four or stories stories. Because they believed in the concept, they created work for the entire issue. That is good stuff.

I pretty much buy this for everyone's birthday birthday now. This Holiday I will be doing the same thing. It's a no-brainer $20 stocking stuffer.

Another great magazine from Los Angeles. Good magazine stole the best name in the world (think of the countless puns to go with "good") Good is a stylish and smart magazine that appeals to a new generation of concerned citizens. I love the Transparencies column. It is full of visual information that serves to critique and inform, past topics include corn, water usage, and the war in Iraq. Great layout, good articles, easy on the eyes, great for the mind.

Not good, supporting Internet pornography:

I'll stick to supporting feminist organizations like Equality Now - www.equalitynow.org

And Coalition Against Trafficking in Women - www.catwinternational.org
