For the perfectionist in me.
I used to have a version of this, and it's great for making eggs. But I managed to turn it into a more-than-adequate egg poacher. Stab a wooden spoon (or anything) through the handle to hold the egg molder at the surface of a pot of boiling water. Crack the egg into the mold and it floats in place. It's a bit of a messy poach, but it gets the job done in a pinch. And buying one of these as a one-for-all can be cheaper than purchasing an egg poacher on its own.
