This is, hands down, one of my all-time favorite movies. Director Julie Taymor and an all star cast take the viewer on a psychedelic tour of America and Britain in the 1960s and 1970s, threading the love story of a debutante and an expatriate through a tightly woven tapestry of Beatles songs, quotes, and puns. Highlights: Bono as the Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test-inspired Doctor Robert singing I Am The Walrus, as well as Eddie Izzard as Mr. Kite.

I get really choosy with musicals- especially if they are too girly, boring, long, characters are 2D, blase, etc. etc... this one had none of those qualities, but all the right creative elements. It wasn't like watching a musical at all- more like watching a wisely chosen compilation of great music videos with fantastic continuity.
