Select Comfort Air Bed

In the last two decades we have owned a couple Select Comfort beds and I can't imagine going back to the other kind. No more sagging in the middle as the bed gets older and my wife and I each have our own "sleep number" to adjust our sides of the bed to different firmness levels.

We currently have one of the higher end models, but I don't think it was really worth the extra cost. They just add more padding which puts your sleeping plane really high off the ground, and I don't think you're buying all this air bed technology just for padding on top. Stick with a 5000 or 7000 series.

Buy or build your own platform base and skip the extra expense of the "box". Since box springs are not necessary with an air bed, you might as well enjoy a lower, more elegant bed design in your bedroom. Or go for a higher platform like the one my Dad built for us and enjoy more storage space under your bed.

You'll own this for ten years, so keep that in mind when you worry about the price.
