I absolutely love all of Miyazaki's movies and Spirited Away is one of my favorites. Beautiful, dreamlike animation, a magical, enchanting story and strange, exciting characters captivated me throughout.

Miyazaki's movies can be appreciated by kids and adults alike. If you've never seen any "anime" before this is a good place to start.

My review: This is a very beautiful film. As said in the above, Chihiro is stuck in a spirit world and runs into all sorts of situations while trying to find her way back to her parents. I've watched this movie more than 3 times and I still enjoy it. Warning: If you don't like subtitles, pass on this movie. And although this is animation, there might be some parts that would be scary to children.

Excels well beyond its children's story premise.

Miyazaki tosses you lightly into a world of Japanese fairytale and myth. The story of a little girl moving to a new town, it goes from reality to unreality in dazzling swoops. The story might be a little frightening to a little kid, but it is enjoyable by both kids and adults. Visually spectacular, it is a movie that can be watched multiple times.

Miyazaki's other movies are also very much worth watching.
