Clif Bars feel more natural than other energy bars. I want to eat real food and don't believe it's good to replace food with candy bars disguised as health food. (via Clif Bar)

This energy bar company was started by Gary Erickson, an avid outdoorsman who thought he could make a better tasting, healthier power bar. The company supports many green causes and eco-events and they have an expanding line of organic bars.

I have to jump on the Apricot Clif Bar bandwagon. I keep a dozen of these handy in my car for those long trips when I or the kids need something to tide us over.

Clif bars seem to be one of the healthier alternatives in the "health" bar category and the Apricot flavor is not sickeningly sweet. Because of their substantial consistency, it also takes quite a bit of effort to chew one of these, so it can last a while. (via taniafisher)

I agree with taniafisher: Apricot is the best. I'll never forget my first Clif bar. During a brief stint working in Denver, I drove up to Frisco Nordic Center for a day of skiing. In order to keep pace with the three-lunged, 9000-foot-residing locals, I had to spend my last $2 on one of these calorie biscuits. Maybe it was the endorphins, but I will always remember the apricot Clif bar as a nutritious part of this perfect life. (via taniafisher)
