Interesting take on chess and checkers. The pieces are actually photographic images printed on acrylic.
I think it belongs in a museum. A laser-cut corrugated board holds flat pieces in 3-D so well you can't shake them out. 8 3/4 inches square, 3 oz. with travel pouch. A clever, eco-friendly and good-looking design. My sister and her husband threw it back and forth frisbee-style across the room and the pieces stayed in position. Mfr. claims 1000 insertions in the same place don't cause it to lose gripping power. Price is $12, very fair.
It's the ultimate in practical chess. The set weights virtually nothing, but they pieces will never get knocked over. In fact, it's made from cardboard and the pieces fit in individual slits.
