Leki is the most respected name in ski-pole manufacture, and for good reason. I just got their "Titan" model and have to say it's amazing.
It the lightest-weight pole I have ever held. I don't know the exact measurement but it seem suited for a postage scale. It's made out of aircraft grade aluminum for strength and durability. The best part is the Trigger S system, which allow you to strap the grip to your glove and have the pole attached to you for fast, responsive action. Like ski-bindings, the grips release when pulled upwards, preventing any metal-inducing injury.
Around $80 and should certainly last a long time. Leki is the name to go with in Ski poles.
