This is my third Powershot in five years - I lost one and literally dropped another down a canyon. I try not to leave home without it (though of course I'm always forgetting to charge the battery) - luckily, it fits pretty well in a back pocket.

canon elph series is the only way to go. if you are looking for a camera to put in your pocket and or travel with... this is an amazing camera for you and worth every cent. my first elph was a sd400 5.0mp which has been dropped in many countries and we still use it.

I've used this for literally thousands of photos... from drunken nights to special events. It's very compact, easy on the pockets, and stealth enough to get those awesome candid shots!
