In 2000 Radiohead presented a new musical face to the world. It was eerie, dissonant and marvelously complex. It was Kid A. I won't go through any complicated discussion of what I think they were trying to do here. That would maybe be pretentious and unnecessary. I'll leave that to rock critics and such.

This album may not appeal to some --- even so-called "die hard" Radiohead fans, but it does stand on it's own merits artistically. I didn't even reach this conclusion until after several listens without any distractions. However, to each his or her own. As one of the songs states, "everything in it's right place..."

Standout tracks: "Everything In It's Right Place", "How To Disappear Completely", "Optimistic", "Idioteque". (via amazon.com)
