We stayed at The Driskill Hotel during our vacation in Austin, Texas and it is a must for anyone seeking an authentic Austin experience. The hotel is stunning, comfortable and has an old-style charm that can't be beat. The room was wonderful and was filled with antiques and framed items. The painting-lined hallways extended to the elevator like an art gallery, and the service was top of the line as well. The Driskill definitely has location as well -- affter dinner at the Driskill Grill, nightlife on 6th street was the perfect avenue to conclude the evening.
