I don't actually have aphids but I've always wanted to release a batch of ladybugs in the garden just because. It would be an awesome Eric Carsle happening... a yard full of grouchy ladybugs.

Did you know there is a snail that eat other snails? But they are harmless to your garden since they're carnivores (isn't that gross?). Ladybugs, the generalist of garden predators, will eat pretty much anything that can't run very fast - moth eggs, scales, leafhoppers, mealybugs, mites and more.

Besides the fact that predator insects are a great organic means to control pests, I'm just plain 'ole tired of all the damn bugs. It's driving me crazy. Literally. I've become a microphobic!

Before I check in to the psych ward, I'm ordering an entire farm of live ladybugs and letting them loose. I'm looking forward to seeing these babies nice and fat from over-eating.

This is a great organic gardening supply. It may not be a "supply" per se, but you should certainly think about having some in supply. They're much easier than trying to attract predators with sunflowers or geraniums. And if you've ever tried planting garlic or chives in your soil to keep pests away, you know it can stink -- particular in container gardens.
