I saw Kevin Philips on Bill Moyers' last night, where he re-iterated the point of this book: America has allowed finance to eclipse manufacturing, propping it up for over 30 years with bail out after bail out-- all of which have led to this moment of spectacular meltdown. HIs view is pessimistic and is decried by some, lauded by others. Definitely a book to read and ponder.
