So you've updated your kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances; why not update your Brita water pitcher. I have used my water filter pitcher for years; sometimes things like this that are made entirely out of plastic, just plain old wear out. Small things like pitcher itself having small cracks, then the lid doesn't quite fit the way it used to. For a new look to a reliable old product, switch to the new chrome finish pitcher. got this pitcher during the holidays and have been drinking tons more water as a result. my tap water tastes "funny" to say the least, so this is a real life saver. it gives me very clean, fresh-tasting water. saves a lot of money in bottled water costs, too.
