I really admire Jason Miller’s intentional use of ordinary bird and floral decals in a not so ordinary fashion with his new “Seconds” line. Actually, I have a deep appreciation for anything that is not commonplace. If I were asked to choose between a perfect and normal table or a table that had initials carved all over it, hands down I would go for the carved piece. If I had to choose between a chair with four legs and a chair that had ten legs, hands down I would choose the ten legged chair. Uncommon qualities adds character to a piece. Anyone can find a teapot with the graphic placed square in the middle, but how often have you seen a teapot with the graphic on the spout, or upside down? (via Design Public)

The "intentionally" incorrectly applied decals are such an interesting quirk for this teapot. The simple design along with the classic artwork make for a modern twist!
