  A young neurosurgeon (Gene Wilder) inherits the castle of his grandfather, the famous Dr. Victor von Frankenstein. In the castle he finds a funny hunchback called Igor, a pretty lab assistant named Inga and the old housekeeper, frau Blucher -iiiiihhh!-. Young Frankenstein believes that the work of his grandfather is only crap, but when he discovers the book where the mad doctor described his reanimation experiment, he suddenly changes his mind... This movie rates among the to ten funniest movie of all time. This is one of the best Gene Wilder movie.

  Probably Mel Brooks' best movie, or maybe Gene Wilder's best, or maybe one of the other actor's best... but it's definitely a great, hilarious film. It is beyond a parody, it's just a good comedy.

  The reasons I love this: (inexplicably sexy) Gene Wilder + (unbelievably funny) Mel Brooks + (undeniably amazing) Madeline Kahn + (imperturbably peculiar) Peter Boyle = one of the best comedies ever made And yes, I love all of Gene Wilder's movies. So what.
