Description
In a world filled with slat benches (and I must plead guilty to owning the nelson bench), I just love the organic quality to this bench.
Designed by Jon Gelder of Australia, the description is taken from their site:
Leda Seat is a totally original design - an elegant, interactive sculpture for the home or office. Its seductive curves are created by a series of plywood hoops that offer a choice of comfortable seating positions. Leda Seat evolved through a number of full-scale prototypes and is simple to manufacture. The hoops are CNC router cut from one sheet of 25mm plywood while the frame is water jet cut from 12mm aluminium plate. Leda is designed to be timeless rather than comply with any current trend or style - it's intended to last and to be loved for a lifetime.
