Must... have... remote... control...

I'm going to be getting a new entertainment center in my house. I have a 10 year old TV. Nothing fancy. Just a TV. I never wanted the TV to be the centerpiece of my home. Well, technology has come a long way in those 10 years. It's time for home theatre to come to my house! (Of course, it will all be well-hidden in cabinets for when it's not in use.)

Control, that's the next issue. My friend Stephen solved that for me. He gave me a Logitech Harmony remote control. Gone are the days of following arcane direction about pressing one button for 2 seconds and then entering a code and pressing another button repeatedly for 5 seconds while standing on your head.

The Logitech Harmony remote control plugs into your computer via USB. Programing is simple. It has various profiles for how you watch TV and listen to music. If it's easy enough for my wife and kids to use, I'm set.
