Classic arcade video games like Pac-Man, Donkey-Kong and Galaga may have been forever lost to ancient history, but you can still bring a piece of this retro fun into the home with these cool new Space Invaders Cutting Boards ($130). These handmade wooden cutting boards have one of the famous space invaders embedded right into the woodgrain. They are made of durable dark walnut and hard-maple cubes that are glued together and then sanded and polished to a shiny finish. You better skip the arcades for awhile and save up those quarters quickly, because these galactic cutting boards are extremely limited and once they are gone, it's game over! (via Michael Kiely)

t's pop culturally relevant, which I love, but also doesn't look ultra corny. Meaning, it's absolutely perfect for my kitchen.

This is practical and fun, which are in themselves, very geeky properties.

Love this... it's for nerds who have grown up and graduated from Cup-a-Noodle to real food. But no one said you have to give up your original loves!

I'm not sure a Space Invaders cutting board really has to make sense. Any flat surface that can divided into a grid can present pixel opportunities. Anywhere there's a pixel, there's potential for a classic video game reference. You're better off cutting vegetables than sitting in front of a 25-year-old video game, so that's progress.
