  The Kithaus K3 is the epitome of small living done well. I love that you can buy this pre-fab (and I do mean FAB!) structure, put it together in a couple of days and there is hardly any waste. You can add accessories like louvres and solar panels - all available when you order. Great for a vacation place or a retreat.

  Much like it sounds, the Kithaus is a prefab kit that emerges to become a 9' X 13' space fully equipped with wiring and insulation. Where you put it and how you use it is entirely up to you.

  In my ideal world the Kithaus would act as my own private, no-husbands allowed sanctuary...in my backyard, with a fully stocked Prosecco bar and a cabana man to serve it...this does count as a cabana - right? Pre-fab rules!

  If I had a million dollars I'd buy the smallest posh port-a-house (like this Kithaus from DWR) and the largest, wildest, remotest property with the rest of the dough. OK, maybe I'd get two or three Kithauses for pals to come stay and stuff. And another Kithaus for all the toys one needs for knocking around pristine spaces (be they surfboard-y, ocean-y toys or wheeled, ski-y types of mountain toys). And another Kithaus all for books. And one for horses.
