This is my favorite movie in the entire world. Its combines Kevin Costner AND baseball. Plus it has Gabby Hoffman when she is so young. I still cry every time I watch it. (via amazon.com)

A long-lost team, a cornfield and broken dreams all come together to a simple but exultant conclusion in this story about an Iowa farmer who sacrifices his livelihood to build a baseball field. Suspend your disbelief for just an hour or two and you will love this movie.
