I can't speak more highly for the intuitiveness of the Canon menus and ergonomics. The digital SLR is really something even amateurs can value in that learning even some of the most basic fundamentals can enable you to take brilliant photos. Not to mention that shooting in RAW will allow those who are more adept at Photoshop to have far more options in processing. A must have for anyone with a real interest in taking their photography to the next level.

As far as digital SLRs go this one it the tops. I love it because it provide amazing photos in the prosumer price range. You should buy the lens kit version because it comes with an EF lens which will last years and allow you to upgrade to a full frame sensor at some point.
