“The Tray of Togetherness” (chyuhn haap) is a candy tray, typically in the shape of an octagon, that you fill with dried fruits and candies for guests and relatives. I found this one as part of an IKEA collection, but the more traditional trays are available in Chinatown shops. Each food is symbolic for various types of good fortune. My mom always put a red envelope (lucky money) in the center.
