Much like a pedometer, this device measures the calories you have burned each day and aids in an effective weightloss program. Supposedly, it can also monitor the amount of calories you consume each day?? (via iVillage)

I'm a total numbers nerd. For my personal workouts, I love knowing how many calories I've burned. And the vast majority of my clients are motivated by that knowledge as well. Unfortunately, many of the machines in a gym are only semi-accurate in counting calories.

The BodyBugg is more than average calorie counting gadget. They've got above the traditional "enter your weight" approach to obtaining a caloric value for your exercise.

I plan on using this with my clients at the gym.

Know how you can lose that 10 pounds of Holiday weight you gain between Thanksgiving and New Year's? Start now.

Give yourself a cushion (so to speak) by kicking off that Holiday weight loss plan long before the Holidays launch by using BodyBugg, an armband that tracks the number of calories you burn, which is hopefully more than the calories you consume.

You don't have to worry about looking up activities in a database and calculating how many calories you just burned while playing golf or vacuuming. BodyBugg's armband has 4 physiological sensors that do all that work for you. Not burning enough calories yet today? Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Breaking even on calories for the day? Maybe you can let yourself have that extra frozen yogurt after lunch.

By the time the turkey hits the table, "healthy" will be a lifestyle, not a curse.
