This is an awesome piece! Yes, because a .40 bullet casing is used, but mainly because of the stone involved --- a Herkimer Diamond.
These "diamonds" are found in and around Herkimer, NY. They are actually a type of crystal quartz, but are harder than most other types and superficially resemble diamonds. Hence the name.
Herkimer diamonds help to open the 3rd eye and purifies all chakras. They are beneficial for stress, detoxification, metabolic imbalances, radioactivity, cellular disorders, the throat and bronchitis. (via etsy.com)
