I can't believe that f*&cker David R. Kelly bought the rights to this and they are remaking it for ABC this fall. Don't fall prey to what surely will be a bastardization! Get the original! Life on Mars is one of the best shows ever. It only went for two seasons, and they were spectacular. You need to get this 2nd and final season. I adore John Simms who plays Sam Tyler! And Philip Glenister who plays Gene Hunt (the Gene Jeanie or the Gov.) is just the best! This show has such a British sensibility (and great soundtrack of British 70's rock). The American version will never compare so get the real deal and see what a great show this was!
