Moonbeam Clock

The awful racket my alarm clock makes every morning is quite possibly the bane of my existence. Who wants to be woken up light that? It's either some screeching alarm, or the jarring tones of a local pop music radio station. That's why I'm so intrigued by this moonbeam alarm clock. Who knows whether it works or not, but, theoretically, it wakes you up with light -- which sounds significantly more pleasant. (via Popgadget)

The Deco style looks really great on a bedside table. And the prospect of being awoken by gentle illumination? Sold. There's a back-up alarm bell for heavier sleepers who are a little nervous about relying on sunrise alarm clocks.
