We all generate garbage, its a fact of life. Some of us manage to keep the amount of trash we send to the landfills to a minimum but even then, one of the biggest ironies of reducing the amount you throw out is what you throw it out in. These products are “shelf stable”, just like paper plates or paper towels. They will not decompose until they are introduced to the earth’s elements or micro-organisms in the soil. Extended heat can make the bags feel soft and may eventually cause splitting. I recommend storage in a dry, cool area.
However, I'm not sure I'd store clothing or anything else in these.
