My son owns this, thanks to a church book sale last year. Despite my eye rolls upon its arrival, I may have to get one for all my nieces and nephews. Thanks to the polite elephant, my son now opens doors for "the ladies." If that isn't retro, I don't know what is.

    I read this to my children when they were little. They had it memorized in two weeks even though they still made me read it to them ever day. It may have driven me crazy; not as much as Green Eggs and Ham however, even at their worst today they are still polite and courteous.
