Flat Tire Footwear uses crumb rubber from recycled tires to create a totally unique comfort and shock absorbing sole. Of course, Ed Begley Jr. likes it because it's utilizing recycled materials in a whole new way. They made a bamboo upper version for Ed. For the rest of us, leather is still the only option. I have a pair of Flat Tires and they are great. I would say they are probably the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. (via shoebuy.com)
