Atlas of True Names

Quite possibly one of the coolest, most interesting things I've ever seen! I want this map so badly, as it mixes some things I absolutely love: languages, etymology, and geography. This atlas reveals the original names and meanings of familiar places around the globe, as painstakingly researched by two German cartographers. Whether it's Chicago's original name of "Stink Onion" or, even better, Yucatan -- which translates in Mayan to "I don't understand," this is a work of genius. (via Atlas of True Names)
