hi i noticed this product being sold in lots of places and i am wondering what happened ?nylon requires high energy of non renewable fuels to produce, and involves the precursors benzene(a known human carcinogen) and hydrogen cyanide (which is extremely poisonous. The manufacturing of nylon also releases volatile organic compounds(VOCs), nitrogen oxides and ammonia ,some where in china their pouring this stuff on the earth? Not to mention the amount of greenhouse gasses just to get it to market, the strip mining for the aluminum and iron{ for the springs in carabener and slip clasp)the coal that had to be burned ,the acid rain that has yet to fall?if you care about the earth this product shouldn't be on the shelf. If your thing is, oh they save on plastic bags ,not only are Chico bags to small for us who really shop with our own bags,it cannot be recycled?heh yet all the bags in stores are a #2 plastic that can be re melted into tons of new products.funny the ink on the bag itself could be lead or better yet the inks made by some 12year olds in Mexico's NAFTA then sent to china by ship spewing tons of diesel into air, OK that's a little crazy yet there is sad truth in my words please think about this.thanx Whipple
