I was thrilled when Rob Thomas released his own album, although I wondered if he had left Matchbox Twenty behind for good. I had developed an appreciation for Rob Thomas as an artist when he worked with Santana. Although this album is pretty far flung from that collaboration, it is more than just an effort: it is a success. The music is good and Rob Thomas' voice caresses it into something wonderful.
