I won this video camera at an industry event and I have been very happy with it (and not just because it was free!). It's battery powered which is kind of nice. It takes two AA batteries. The picture and audio quality is good and you can get up to 60 minutes of coverage. The best part is the transfer of the footage to your computer is done through a simple USB port on the camera. This video camera is ideal for road trips, sporting events, and vacation.

The Flip Video Ultra is minimalist in design. The pocket-size camera can take up to an hour of footage, easily hook to your computer via USB, and upload to YouTube within minutes. There are only a few buttons: on/off, record, play, trash. For Apple users, here's one tip: once plugged in, drag the video clips onto your desktop or a folder and import straight into iMovie. Don't worry about the Mac program they have, it seems weird. Anyway, this tool is something I am going to use for a very very very long time now.
