Citizen Kane (1941)

Description

A cinematic masterpiece chronicling the life and times of newspaper magnate Charles Foster Kane (based loosely on the real life William Randolph Hearst) played superbly by Orson Welles who also directed, produced, and helped to write the film. The story is told originatively through several different viewpoints as the various people who knew Kane recollect their memories of him. Stunning usage of lighting and makeup are excellent as is the innovative cinematography and direction

An absolute must see!!

Description

The writer Herman Mankiewicz had a favorite motto about screenwriting: "Get to the boobies." (à propos of nothing, but what more can you say about this classic film?)
