Being parents of hard core gamers, this is the console for the rest of US! I don't play the PS2 or Xbox 360 or GameCube because it is too complicated for non-gamers. But i'm getting a Nintendo Wii for myself! I can play it without knowing anything about the controller etc. Wii Sports comes with it and it's revolutionary. My kids will only get a Sony PS3 though... but they will sneak a play with my Nintendo Wii (I'm sure they will).

This is the 2nd sign of the second coming of gaming. Why? Here is a list: - Non-gamers (read: women and older folk) have always complained that the controls for video games are too complicated. How complicated can waving your hands be? - Well I think that was the only point on the list.

Here's to a new generation of gaming -- Kudos nintendo for thinking outside of the box! It heralds in the next level of video game playing by adding a more physical element to play. Play sports and fight enemies like never before!

I played a bunch of demo games Nintendo had setup at a local mall, and they rocked. Its such an active experience (compared to sitting around with my mouth open whenever I play some crazy first person shooter). My roomies and I are planning to get one once they're in stock again, and there's some video coming soon from our shopping mall demo.

Too Much Fun. Nintendo is the best! Totally fun to play, great for kids and adults. Nintendo offers a wide range of games BUT you won't find violent or sexist games for the wii. (No San Andreas) If you are trying to decide which system to get for your kids, get the Wii! Durable and suitable to the youngsters.

This is the next way to play video games. It may not be the best in terms of graphics, but you won't have more fun. Plus, the wii coordinates nice with my mac, and using darwin remote, the wiimote can control both!

Nintendo's Wii is a hand-waving, arm-swinging, gyration causing sensation. It's a ton of fun to play with, and makes you look like you're at least slightly athletic. Plus, it comes with a Wii Sports disc -- giving you gaming right out of the box.

I've never really been one for video games, but I really want one of these. It's such a great game for people of all ages. My friends tell me they play this with their parents and their parents totally own them. It would be great for a party. Totally brings people together and gets everyone into it.

It wasn't until I brought home Guitar Hero for the PS2 that my wife showed any interest in video games. What she (and I) liked about that title was the physical action of it - no pounding buttons, no learning a thousand moves. Just standing up and rocking out. This is true of EVERY game on the Wii. It is wildly fun to use and the most wife-friendly system yet. I've also been using the beta browser - YouTube, Flickr, even Google's RSS reader all work well. Welcome to the world of sofa web browsing!

Beats the other consoles hands down (and up, and sideways- in fact beats them in all directions with the new remote). Create a virtual you (or mii) and you can be part of the games. Link to other people and you'll be in theirs too. Kinda spooky.

Guess what Santa dropped off at our house this Christmas? A Wii! When my husband opened it up, he cried out, "Wheeeee!" This system has completely changed the way we game. It's simple enough that our four year old can do many of the games we bought (including Wii Sports - that comes with the Wii), yet many of the games are still outrageously fun and entertaining. We're up on our feet every night playing games, laughing, and shouting. This is an awesome piece of technology!

I'm not a fan of video games. I grew up on Atari and really miss the joystick with the single red button. I kicked ass at Dodge'em and River Raid but anything more complex than that and I sucked. Then came along the Wii. I'm not a very good bowler (and I hate it in real life) but it's a whole lotta fun and totally takes me back to the days when I raced home from school to play games.

For the most part, I hate video games. Other than the occasional game where I have the option to roundhouse kick someone's head off, or pick up a hooker while driving a tank (thanks Mortal Kombat and Grand Theft Auto, for such fond memories of high school), I really cannot stand video games. I stare at a computer enough. I am all set with trying to dismantle a hypothetical bomb by pressing up, down, left, left, right, select, start. But then, there's the Wii. I've always had a soft spot for Nintendo products over the more highly-developed systems of years past, and the Wii only reinforced my brand loyalty. Definitely the coolest, most innovative gaming system on the market. I have gone bowling, played golf with Tiger Woods, fired baseballs at bottles and other various carnival games, all from the comfort of my best friend's living room. The games do not require too much concentration or dedication (key for those of us with technology-induced ADD, also known as the MTV generation as a whole), and are very fun to play. Strap that thing around your wrist (you laugh, but my friends are one of the many LCD-TV-breaking stories) and get on your feet...the Wii is almost as fun as real life ;-)

I had originally played this when I was out. I loved it so much I spent weeks looking for one, and I am not a "video games person". I love the games on this! You do not sit around, therefore it is not boring! It's also competative and gives you a workout. The kids also love it and bug me to play every single day. I had a friend come over and try it, the next day she called her favorite store and spoke to the manager so they could save one for her when they came in. I promise you will love this system.

Well, you can't play Wii games without it. I've gotten used to the name Wii, now it's kinda cute. You already know the innovative controllers the Wii sports. There is a large selection of standard, FPS or racing games, but my favorites are the quick, short attention span games :). This is where the WIi excels and makes it so much more fun for traditional non-gamers. Wii Sports (which comes with the console) is great - try the golf and tennis! Alo see the new Wii-Fit, Super Smash Brothers, MarioKart, WarioWare, and Tramua Center. All great games with innovative controller use.

I love playing Wii games. I am terrible at the other games of this type. I can't use the usual game controller. I don't play those games since it's so frustrating. The Wii, on the other hand is fun. It is easy to play and even if I don't do so well, it isn't frustrating. I like all the games that I try and even though I am not big on sports my favorite is bowling. When my husband and I play, we spend so much time laughing whether we do good or bad. I didn't want to buy Wii at first. I figured it would be a waste of money and we would never play because it would be too hard. Boy, was I ever wrong. Now I can't wait to get Fit for the Wii.

I LOVE the Wii!! It is so much fun to play alone or with friends and Family! Even my Parents had fun playing it! It isn't a conventional video game...it forces you to actually stand to participate in the game! Which does give you some needed exersice. So say good-bye to couch potato and Get a Wii!! I am sure there are plenty of games for you to chose from....so everyone can play! I guarentee that if you buy this product you will not regret it! And it is the cheaper of all the game consoles out there! No more than $250.00! Other game consoles go for $500.00 and more! So the Wii is definately all around a better Game console! I highly recommend it!

My Husband and I got this for my daughter on her 9th birthday, with the "mario cart" and en extra controll, At first look she thought she had no games just the unit itself (needless to say, she was not so happy at first) and we had just turned in her "X-BOX",(she thought we were having it cleaned) anyway after some (almost tears) we explaind she infact had more games then before, you get 8 games with the "wii" and also 4-5 with the "MarioCart", She was very happy after that, also the games were all more fun and we were all able to play so that made it great for her! she never realy got to play with mom before! Caution! take it easy on the arm you will know the next day if your in good shape or not! (found out i'm not) Anyway the kids and adults will love it only problem is trying to stop! One more thing "what "X-Box", Don't get me wrong X-Box is great but she realy liked (me also) getting into it.

This a great system that does well in differentiating itself from the rest of the pack. Sure, it may not have the incomparable graphics of the PS3 but it achieves a much more entertaining level of interactivity and gameplay. It's excellent for getting kids, families, and individuals opposed to conventional gaming.

I've decided to cave in and recommend this game console. I've played and it is pretty cool. Can't beat the price either. What I really want for the Wii is awesome shooter games like Ghost Recon 2 Advanced Warfighter where I can kill terrorists and have a great time. But nevertheless it's still pretty cool. Buy it today.

Are your kids fighting? Daugher upset with mom? Dad angry with his son? Pull out the wii and it will all go away. One of the best systems created, with a endless library of games for both young and old. get into the action with the wiimote, a controller that is wireless and responds to your motions. When you find it in stock, you should be the first to pick it up.

This is one of those rare consoles that gets anyone up and moving and exercising while having a blast. Everyone from the most techie minded to the least can and will have tons of fun while bowling, golfing and playing tennis. The best part is you don't even have to be athelically inclined or very much in shape to compete with the rest and most importantly compete against yourself. It's a top TN Fashion as nothing in more in fashion than being physically active, inshape and feeling good about yourself.

The wii is great for people who aren't into first person shooter games or the like. It offers more "family" style entertaiment- something that your girlfriend can actually play and kick some mild butt with. Until they came out with Mario Kart for the wii I was totally satisfied with bowling//sports- but that game opened up a whole new era for me: to put it simply- best game ever. The wii fit is also good- if you use it. My boyfriend and I are competing; its really great for that. :)

Waited and waited and waited for this to become regularly stocked at our Exchange overseas, and it came in when my hubby was deployed. I bought it, and had it set-up for him when he finally came home after being gone 15 months. Being somewhat unsavvy tech-wise, I love how the games have the built-in tutorials and practice sessions. I am one of those parents who would probably get my kids a separate console as I would not want to share this with them. I love how small and stream-lined it is. My only advice would be to get the silicone skins for the controllers, makes them easier to grip, and not that I have ever dropped mine, I am assuming it would cushion the fall, if you did drop it.

finally. a videogame that doesn't make your fingers tired. :D
My kids have all the game consoles and the wii is the only one that I can play. It is easy, I think that it is better for not only adults but for children as it gives them a little exercise as well as hand eye coodination. That beng siad it is a lot of fun the the entire family and easy to play whether you are 9 or 90. The new wii fit program is great for exercise but one word of advice if you don't want to look at yourself as fat make yourself alot taller as it takes your weight and you can not fake that so I just made myself 6'4" and then I look normal (lol) It really is a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.
This is the best gming system- everyone can use it
Nintendo Wii the powerful gaming device with exceptional quality in graphics and 3D gaming. I would best recomend this product as none of the other products are best than this.
